Accessibility Statement
How this site is built for accessibility, what's verified and how, and how to tell us if you hit a barrier.
Draft — pending formal legal sign-off. This statement describes what this site actually does, verified against its own code and automated tests, not a third-party accessibility widget it doesn’t have.
Our commitment
- VP Racing Fuels Europe wants everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to read this site, find what they need, and reach us — comfortably and independently.
- This is an ongoing effort. We review and improve as issues are found, not as a one-time project.
Standards we target
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
- The European Accessibility Act (EAA), where applicable.
How this site is built
- Real semantic HTML and ARIA where it's needed — a heading is a heading, a button is a button — rather than a JavaScript overlay layered on top. This is a deliberate house rule, not a coincidence: it's how the site stays keyboard-operable and correctly announced to screen readers without depending on a separate toolkit.
- Automated accessibility checks (axe-core, the WCAG 2.1/2.2 A and AA rule sets) run in this site's own test pipeline against a representative set of pages, and are required to report zero violations except one specific, documented exception on an interactive map's clustered pins.
- Colour contrast is computed from this site's actual design tokens by an automated test, not eyeballed — the same test that caught and guided this session's own brand-colour correction.
- Text spacing (WCAG 1.4.12) is verified on representative pages: widening line height, letter spacing and word spacing doesn't clip content or introduce horizontal scrolling.
- Video and animated content respect your browser's reduced-motion setting.
No separate accessibility menu
- Unlike some sites, this one doesn't have a separate accessibility toolbar or widget to open. Accessibility is built into the page itself, so there's nothing extra to find — your browser's or device's own zoom, high-contrast mode, and screen reader all work normally, because the underlying markup is standard HTML.
Known limitations
- Third-party embeds (social media posts, videos) may not fully match this site's own accessibility standards, since we don't control their code.
- Editor-authored page content, entered through our content-management system, is reviewed for accessibility but isn't covered by the automated checks described above the same way hand-built pages are.
- The interactive dealer map's clustered pins have a known, documented touch-target-size limitation (see "How this site is built" above).
- 200% browser text resize (WCAG 1.4.4) isn't covered by our automated tests — it needs a real browser zoom our test tooling can't reliably drive — so we can't yet state it's verified, only that nothing in the page design is meant to prevent it.
