Chemistry, fifty years of it, and the people it is actually for. The product appears in the spec block and nowhere else.
A forestry crew works in the exhaust plume for hours. VP's alkylate fuel is virtually free of benzene and aromatics and contains no ethanol — chemistry built for racing, sold for the chainsaw and the mower too.
Jimmy Ålund, Michael Malmgren and Stefan Ernryd have spent the better part of a decade taking FIA European Pro Stock titles off each other. VP says all three run its fuel and oil — a claim on VP's own record, not yet confirmed by any of the three.
Four rounds of the 2026 FIA European Drag Racing Championship, in three countries, decided by hundredths of a second and a full afternoon of rain. Santa Pod — VP's longest-running track partner in Europe — hosted the first round and the last.

VP Racing Fuels was founded in San Antonio in 1975, experimenting with blends to beat what already existed. The first product was C12. It is still on this site, with a specification.
VP Racing acquired Pro Energy Fuel Limited in July 2026 and put its European headquarters in Sligo. VP's European operation now ships from inside Europe rather than to it.
VP sells oil, coolant, brake fluid and track prep in Europe as well as fuel. The reason has less to do with range than with who kept asking.
