Three names European Pro Stock already knows

Jimmy Ålund, Michael Malmgren and Stefan Ernryd have spent the better part of a decade taking FIA European Pro Stock titles off each other. VP says all three run its fuel and oil — a claim on VP's own record, not yet confirmed by any of the three.

01 — THE FUEL

Built for an engine a road car doesn't have

Pro Stock is naturally aspirated, built to a tight rulebook, and tuned for one job — nothing a road engine has much in common with. VP's SV05 is built for exactly that engine: VP's own published description names FIA European Pro Stock specifically, not motorsport in general, and states the fuel has powered multiple FIA championships.

SV05 is on the European shelf today, sold under the same part-number sheet the rest of this site's catalogue is built from.

02 — THE PODIUM

A decade of the same three names

Jimmy Ålund, from Sweden, is the most decorated driver FIA European Pro Stock has ever had: his 2024 European title was his 13th in the category, a run stretching back to 2004.

Michael Malmgren ended that run at least once. At the 2023 European Finals at Santa Pod, Malmgren beat championship leader Stefan Ernryd by 0.02 seconds to take the Pro Stock title for himself.

Ernryd has his own result at the same track: he won the season-opening Main Event at Santa Pod in 2018, as the previous year's runner-up. Between them, these three have taken most of the last decade's FIA European Pro Stock titles off each other.

03 — WHAT VP SAYS

VP's own claim about the three of them

VP describes all three as its own drivers — running VP fuel and its Pro Grade 0W20 full synthetic oil in the same class SV05 is built for.

These are three of the most credible names in European Pro Stock, and all three run VP — our fuel and our Pro Grade 0W20 full synthetic oil both. We don't need to tell customers they hold up under pressure — Ålund, Malmgren, and Ernyrd's results do that for us.
