VP Professional Full Syn Racing Oil SAE 15W-50
SAE 15W-50 · full synthetic
VP Pro Grade full synthetic racing oils are dyno tested and track-proven. VP blends its SAE 15W50 synthetic oil with leading-edge chemistry and advanced technology for race track applications. It delivers strong durability and friction control for maximum power and protection. Pro Grade SAE 15W50 is ideal for professional, semi-pro, and high-intensity amateur racers. VP recommends it for drag racing applications that use petrol, ethanol, or methanol. When results matter and 2nd place isn't good enough, trust Pro Grade racing oils.
- VP Lubricants Difference
- VP applies a 3-pronged approach to lubricant design:
- VP uses select base oils with polar characteristics, which improves the ability of the oil to cling to metal components by improving viscosity.
- VP adds a balance of multiple anti-wear chemistries into the oil beyond zinc (ZDDP). These anti-wear additives adhere to metal surfaces to create a tremendous layer of protection.
- VP includes unique friction modifiers that reduce both fluid-to-fluid friction and surface friction between the oil and moving metal components, for more horsepower and torque.
- VP blends VP Pro Grade Full Synthetic SAE 15W50 Racing Oil with an aggressive dispersant detergent package, which helps control both deposits as well as the oxidation stability of the oil. It takes much longer for the oil to oxidise than other available brands.

Multiple engine builders, including Al Moody Race Engines, have performed dyno tests of VP’s engine oils. Those tests have documented real horsepower gains. Many of those same engine builders have also done documented video teardowns to inspect wear on engines. The engine sizes ranged from 355 cubic inch dirt track motors to 3,000hp big block marine engines. The results show that engine internals look virtually new and can be reused beyond traditional replacement intervals.
